Fun Up shoot - San Diego, California

I was off work for 3 months and I swore that after one month of resting, I would be well enough to go to all kinds of new places and take pictures. ALL. KINDS. OF. PICTURES! I even had a list of about 10 different places that I was determined to visit and I had an idea of what kind of pictures I wanted to take at each location. Well, I was a couple weeks away from coming back to work, 2 weeks to be exact and I had gone no where and had taken zero pictures. AT ALL. I had absolutely no excuse for not going to these places, I was just plain lazy. There was one place I was determined to go to before I went back to work though and I did it. I love the movie UP, so I wanted to do a shoot kind of like the movie with my favorite model EVER. So I had my sister put together some outfits for him and off we went. Of course the day that I chose to go out for pictures, it decides to be like in the 90s, mother natures way of getting back at me I guess...thanks mother nature. So we weren't able to have my model change into all his adorable outfits since we were only able to to stay out for about 45 minutes, but I still loved how the pictures turned out! Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite pictures, I wasn't sure if I loved the
color picture or black & white so I posted both!

 So cute!!

Loved this one in both color and b&w!

My baby love...sigh

Rocking the deer in headlights look!

 Loved color and b&w too!

Okay last one in color and b&w, I just couldn't decide!

He didn't want to share his shot with Mr Teddy so he knocked
him over! Lol

Another fave!!!

Okay I know I'm a proud auntie and everything but come on,
how adorbz is he?! Too precious!!!

Okay well, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Lotsa' Love Claudia!!

Jared & Abigail's Bridal Shower

Bridal showers. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about them. They are a happy occasion but also a sad one. It is a happy occasion for the bride and groom as they can't wait for the day where they become one and begin the start of their new life together as a married couple. On the other hand it is a sad day for the parents of the bride and groom because it is a reminder that their babies are no adults ready to start a life of their own. Although it can also be a happy occasion for the parents because they each gain a daughter or son!

This was the case in Jared and Aby's shower, they were all smiles the whole night. You can feel their happiness through the room. On the other side their parents looked so sad. To me Aby's parents seemed the saddest, I mean Jared's parents looked a bit sad too but for some reason I think it is always harder on the brides side, maybe because I only have 3 sisters and know how sad it was on our weddings for my parents, and maybe because Aby is my cousin that I see my aunt and uncles sadness a bit more then the Jareds parents. Whatever the case may be these occasions always play with my emotions! Okay enough talking and on with the pictures I took of the shower, see for yourself how radiant and happy they both looked!

 A little DIY from me!

This is the gift from her little sister, she gave her everything people would never
think of gifting her, clothespins, rolling pin,  you name it she had it in there! Neat huh?!

 Part of the centerpieces! STARS!!!!!!!!!

 Another DIY from me!!

This is Aby's dads face as they had their first dance of the night! So sad!

Aby's moms face as they had their first dance of the night!

When I saw my uncles face (Aby's dad) through their first dance I looked over to tell
my aunts and mom to look at my uncles face and to my surprise all three of them were crying their little eyes out because apparently they had seen my uncles face before me!
(From right to left, Aby's mom crying, my aunt crying and my mom crying! Nice!)

Jared & Aby, how cute do they look?! Matchy matchy, how adorbz!

They were smiling like this all night! No actually a lot more then this!

These were a gift from one of the guests, how creative are these? I had to take a picture of them!!

Hope you enjoyed them! Lotsa' Love Claudia!!

New beginnings

Well I have been neglecting my bloggity blog for some time now but I have a pretty good excuse for at least the first month, the rest I admit I have been lazy! No more laziness for me though, back to blogging, time to crack the whip and I'm pretty excited about it! I can say I haven't been completely lazy though because although I haven't been blogging I still have been taking pictures, LOTS of them! So I'm excited to share them with all two of you who read my bloggity! These pictures I am posting were from a day that I was completely bored on a Sunday so I convinced my sister to let me use her as a model, so I may or may not have done her make up (don't judge, told ya I was bored) and headed out the door but as soon as we hopped in the car I noticed I had absolutely no gas sand of course I'm not putting gas in my own car, that's the hubbs job, yup his job because on our wedding vows I'm sure it said something like "do you promise to love her, cherish her and always fill up her gas tank?" and he said yes so yes, his job, anyway, so I drove about 5 minutes and found this place so this is where I started snapping away! Hope you enjoy!

 Love these shoes!!

A Day In The Snow

So I had two weeks vacation from work for the holidays and thanks to my bum knee I didn't get to do a thing. AT. ALL. not even kidding. So the Sunday before going back to work, I get a call from my Dad asking if we wanted to go up to Julian to see if there was any snow up there. So of course I said YESSSS, I mean come on now Dad, your asking ME if I want to go to the SNOW?? What kind of question is that?? So bum knee and all I hopped in my Dads truck and we headed of to beautiful Julian. I absolutely love everything about snow, how it looks, feels, smells (yeah smells) it has this fresh smell to it, yeah I'm weird I know! So as my Dad drove up the mountains, we made him stop every time we would see even the smallest amount of snow on the side of the road. I couldn't really get out of the car and play with it but everyone else could and just by sitting in the car watching them play with the little amount of snow on the road was good enough for me. So after everyone played a bit they all hopped back in the car and continued on up to Julian.

Then there it was SNOW. EVERYWHERE!!! EEEEEP! I was like a kid in a candy store!! It was beautiful. I hopped out the truck and started walking out as fast as I could out and of course first thing I did was slip a little. Oh yeah I need crutches, of course! I got so excited I forgot about those darn things. So I hopped to the prettiest place I can find and sat right there to snap pictures and watch the Hubbs, Sister and Dad throw snow balls at each other. Sigh...I wish I could play with them. So I keep snapping pictures. Sigh...I wish Miriam (oldest sister) and my little Lentil were here too (he was sick so couldn't come to the snow). Keep snapping pictures.

Then after a couple hours and them getting tired of throwing snow balls at each other we decided to start driving back down a different way then we had drove up to get some of the famous and delicious Moms Julian Apple Pie. Yum! We got our pie and kept driving down and found a spot we didn't know was there and it was so pretty, no snow but it was just as beautiful. I will definitely come back up to this place when I'm not on crutches to be able to climb up the rocks and sit and relax and think or not think. Just to sit and enjoy. Thanks Dad for making me extremely happy by bringing me to the snow!

So here are a few pictures I took up there and a couple the Hubbs took of my chubby self and my family. I hope you enjoy!

This is a picture the Hubbs snapped of me, don't mind the branch across my face or my messy hair!
