A Day In The Snow

So I had two weeks vacation from work for the holidays and thanks to my bum knee I didn't get to do a thing. AT. ALL. not even kidding. So the Sunday before going back to work, I get a call from my Dad asking if we wanted to go up to Julian to see if there was any snow up there. So of course I said YESSSS, I mean come on now Dad, your asking ME if I want to go to the SNOW?? What kind of question is that?? So bum knee and all I hopped in my Dads truck and we headed of to beautiful Julian. I absolutely love everything about snow, how it looks, feels, smells (yeah smells) it has this fresh smell to it, yeah I'm weird I know! So as my Dad drove up the mountains, we made him stop every time we would see even the smallest amount of snow on the side of the road. I couldn't really get out of the car and play with it but everyone else could and just by sitting in the car watching them play with the little amount of snow on the road was good enough for me. So after everyone played a bit they all hopped back in the car and continued on up to Julian.

Then there it was SNOW. EVERYWHERE!!! EEEEEP! I was like a kid in a candy store!! It was beautiful. I hopped out the truck and started walking out as fast as I could out and of course first thing I did was slip a little. Oh yeah I need crutches, of course! I got so excited I forgot about those darn things. So I hopped to the prettiest place I can find and sat right there to snap pictures and watch the Hubbs, Sister and Dad throw snow balls at each other. Sigh...I wish I could play with them. So I keep snapping pictures. Sigh...I wish Miriam (oldest sister) and my little Lentil were here too (he was sick so couldn't come to the snow). Keep snapping pictures.

Then after a couple hours and them getting tired of throwing snow balls at each other we decided to start driving back down a different way then we had drove up to get some of the famous and delicious Moms Julian Apple Pie. Yum! We got our pie and kept driving down and found a spot we didn't know was there and it was so pretty, no snow but it was just as beautiful. I will definitely come back up to this place when I'm not on crutches to be able to climb up the rocks and sit and relax and think or not think. Just to sit and enjoy. Thanks Dad for making me extremely happy by bringing me to the snow!

So here are a few pictures I took up there and a couple the Hubbs took of my chubby self and my family. I hope you enjoy!

This is a picture the Hubbs snapped of me, don't mind the branch across my face or my messy hair!

They Asked For A Daughter And Were Sent A Princess

After two adorable boys, Carlos and Jessica felt like they weren't exactly complete just yet. They wanted a little baby girl more then anything to complete their little family. Soon enough Jessica was expecting and although they would love their new addition regardless if it was a boy or girl, they hoped it was a baby girl. The day they found out the gender of their baby couldn't come soon enough. When the day finally arrived, they found out they were having a GIRL! They couldn't be happier with the news. For the next couple months they were busy getting everything ready for their baby girls arrival. Then their princess Kassandra finally arrived in September and she was cuter then ever. Definitely a princess. So here are some pictures I shot of her in November, see for yourself  what an adorable princess she is!

Second day outfit

Second outfit of the day

I want to end her pictures with one of my favorite shots of her, she was wearing ballerina slippers with her second outfit of the day...ballerina slippers!!! I love this baby girl!

These are a few shots that I got on our way back home from Kassandra's photo shoot. I looove snow so of course I had to stop and snap some pictures!

I need to move where there's lots of snow, like all the time!

There is no snow on this one but its a train!!! Trains remind me of like the movie The Notebook, not that there are trains in that movie or anything but still it reminds me of it...don't judge!
